17" Drag Radials

Hey guys I am in the market for some 275/40/17 drag radials.
I think I have it narrowed down between two different tires.
I am either going with Toyo Proxes TQ or BFG Drag Radials.
I have owned BFGs before and they were good except they wore down fairly quickly.
The car is mostly street driven.
Any opinions between the two?

My son uses some M&H 390-40-17 drag radials on his street & strip Dodge Dakota R/T and he's very happy with them. They have several sizes for 17" wheels.

Thanks for the info. Do they do well on the interstate? Most of the dragstrip are over an hour away for me. I need something that is ok at highway speeds for long durations.

I can't comment on the two brands you posted BUT I run the Nitto 555Rs in the same size. I got them specifically because they are a good highway tire that do OK at the strip. They handle rain a bit better than the BFG's and MT's from what I have read as well. I have been stuck in the rain far from home several times and they perform well. At the track they work best when really heated during a burnout.
