17" wheel backspace

I want to put 17x9.5 wheels and 275/40/17 tires on the rear of my '87 Regal-Anybody have this combo and what is your backspace? Please help! Thanks

4.5", or 4.75" if you really wanna get close to rubbing the frame.

4.75" BS works great. Im running 315/35/17 nittos drags on 17x9.5s. You can go as wide as a 10" rim with 5" BS. Here is a pic of mine. No modification was necessary on mine, although a good shock should be used. I will be rolling the fender lip eventually.
