I'm currently installing my LED lights from Scot W. at GNS Performance....
My question I'd like to ask is I'd like to know if there is a bulb with a brighter output than the standard 194 bulb that's used in the center of the tail lights (between the led boards) and has the same base configuration as the 194...in other words more luminens....does anyone know of a brighter output bulb I could use for the 194, same base?
I'm just experimenting here, and was considering one of those 194 LED white bulbs, but they seem to only shine straight out, as opposed to the 194 standard which shines all over, bouncing off the silver reflector housing behind it.
Anyone tried the LED 194 for the tail lights? I'd like to just get the center section of the lenses a little brighter.
No, haven't installed them yet, still so much other crap to get done first, but finished painting the replacement black trim....after two coats, I had so many fisheyes on it, that I had to buy a 50 gallon aquarium
. Didn't wash it too well after all of that sanding....after resanding all over again, getting rid of the fish eyes, I cleaned it real well with soap and water, blow dried it with the compressor, let the trim reach 70 temperature, then shot three coats of SEM TRIM BLACK on it.....this time, only two little fish eyes, but in a non noticible place. Overall, it came out beautiful, as well as the polishing out of the red lens.....Meguire's No. 7 Showcar Glaze and a sissle buffer on a drill really does the trick...it's how I do all of my backyard mechanic polishing of plastic.
I seemed to have gotten off the subject here.....oh, no wonder....it's very late, I'm tired, in pain and getting old fast. Sorry.....hope to get an answer soon. Thanks. Going to bed now.
