A buddy of mine in Kearney had one about 5 years ago; Greg Kring worked for NP for years.

I don't know this guy from Adam. I just see he's spending BIG $$$'s on advertising! Thought I'd help the poor guy out by posting his add here.

Hey, this is Greg Kring....still have the '82 GN, mine is a turbo, this guy from Lincoln has a n/a car. Talked to him several times and e-mail too, nice, very clean car. JOHNDEEREGN......who are ya?...hmmm....

Well, the cars are all tucked away in the garage, and I now have an excuse to get the 4-wheeler out and play in that white stuff........helps the hunting too!

Hey Greg!

This is Ty W.

You used to live with a good friend of mine; Paul W in Phillipsburg Ks when you worked for the railroad.

My wife and I rode with you to Kearney in your GN to Kearney's cruise one year. Probably over 10 years ago!

We are in little town by Phillipsburg. PM me your cell, I would love to chat!

Boy you try to help a poor guy out, and ya end up with a midwest chat? :D Hate the snow usetaboost, keeps both my cars in the Garage undercover. :(
Were getting more Ice tonight!
I shure miss hunting, Good luck, and shoot straight Greg!

Now, since we are way off the original subject, as some of you may know I'm currently looking for a good tranny rebuilder. I would prefer only as far away as Lincoln or Kearney, but I will make an exeption for a good rebuild. I've contacted Bruce at PTS Extreme, but man is he pricey, another guy named Brian, from Michigan offered to do it for a resonable cost. And I contacted a guy in Kearney that owns a trans. shop and a couple of Turbo Buicks, He quoted me a price inbetween the other two. Man am I confused now!!!! Help me out guys!!!!

Bret, I hear ya. I had a tough time when it was time to do the '87s tranny. I sent that one off to Texas, I guess it turned out OK. I know the guy in Kearney, as far as I know he does good work, he's a great guy, just talked with him a few weeks ago about some GS parts. Good luck with the rebuild decision.

From what I know and hear Gary Larson at Hawkeye Transmission here in Sioux City is one of the best around the area. Maybe get in contact with him. From what I understand the shop likes to be the one to pull and install so the pressures can be checked and would assume warranty reasons. Went through my friend's tranny in his tbird, fixed what was wrong like asked and it still drives to this day. THink he paid under 500 bucks for all. Here's the number 712-258-6651. Bret, you're in fairmont huh? been through there a few times, my uncle lives in ceresco. (forgive my spellling if its rong!)

I herd that there was a good trany shop in Ft. Dodge, IA. Maybe, Its been awhile.

Now thinking about it, check with jdpolzin, he might be able to get you a good/rebuilt "gold standard" tranny:biggrin:

Thanks for all the input guys. Just need my house sale to close this week and I can get the ball rolling.

I've seen this ad too, over and over and over. He's going to spend more to sell the car than what it's worth. I'd sure like to have one but one is too many right now.

The money to do a 200-4r is entirely dependent upon HP and traction of the car it's going in.

hey, this is Greg Kring as well. I live in Texas. used to have a 87 Stage II car until I sold it a couple years ago. Super 16 winner at Bowling Green. Not related to this topic at all, just thought it was funny. Uncommon names and fairly uncommon cars.

Hey Greg, I've ran into your name twice in the Buick circle. One time it was from Postons, if I remember right......was ordering and they had me down as living in Texas, thought that was strange, until I put it all together. Quite the coincidence, name and taste in cars.....lol.
