Hi guys Im new to this awsome site. I just bought an 85 turbo riv. Factory sfi one of 1069 made. I am going to swap the engine a hot air set up to a 87 gn set up.Has anybody ever did a conversion to an e body before? I have the 87 set already, but im thinking to get some tips before I tear the hot air engine out. Ive had several in the past, 87gn, 84ttype, 86 turbo T and now this sled. any info on this conversion would be awsome. Thanx guys.

Welcome aboard!
The flywheel on my Riv is diff than on my G/N (tooth-count)
Use orig. fly-wheel & starter from the Riv
Tranny is a weird set-up, but internals are same as a 200r4
post pics if you can,(I'll be subscribing to thread)

Search the Forum, the was a guy name Sean... I believe his Dad is Len Freeman (Fastest GN on the Earth, Gallina/ Freeman 6 Sec GN) and he had a intercooled Riviera. I think it was based off factory GN parts... There was a "Wack Job" Guy here in Alabama that had a 84 Riv with a HA Spearco setup on his car. That car plain scooted.. He was such a "Douche Bag", I never approached him for info. How often do you see a front drive Riv run 8.50's. When he popped the Hood, a crowd formed... Then he opened his mouth and the "Red Sea" parted :)
