I just got my 1985 Buick T Type out of the shop and I was very disappointed the car is still running like crap? I got new heads, new cam, new wires, new alternator and a complete tune up. The dude at the shop says that my turbo is leaking air from the turbo and that I need to take it to a muffler shop to have them fabricate a pipe that fits? They could not align my old turbo therefore it leaks a lot of air. I don't hear the turbo kicking in anymore??? And my car stutters and it feels like it wants to turn off? Help advice greatly appreciated!

Any kind of vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks will definitely affect the cars performance I would get all the leaks of any kind up to par where are you located? Does this shop know their way around a hot air or a turbo regal for that matter? If your uppipe isn't making a tight connection to the turbo then something is up what passenger header, uppipe, and turbo are u running? Stock?

I remember my T not running at it's best from havin a cracked passenger header it affected boost , idle , and how it ran overall u might want to loosen up the turbo where it mounts and see if u can get it to where it seals to the uppipe with out pulling the turbo to far out of the intake manifold another thing that comes to mind is the donut gasket between the uppipe and turbo do u have one in there ? Is it in good condition ? If it's bad or not there that can cause ur connection to not seal up tight And cause a big leak in that area if ur donut gasket is good try loosening the up pipe from both ends and tighten them down evenly see if that helps

Something sounds screwy here. Did the turbo pipe fit before the work was done? If the exhaust is leaking BEFORE the turbo then you're losing the air that TURNS the turbo. If you can post some pics it might make this a little easier to diagnose. The turbo pipe suddenly not fitting for some reason sounds fishy to me.
