I'm just curious! I was just looking through my Kirbans book and saw this car. I would like to know seeing they are the rarest of the grand nationals with only 112 made and who knows how many of those are really on the road today (probably ALOT less now). How much are these cars worth?

I dont know what they are worth exactly, but I think they do not have much of a market value even though they are rare, I saw one sell on EBAY for about 1500 a while back. My best guess is that their market value is comparable to an 82 GN.

If even half of them are still on the road I would be amazed. Yes they are rare, but no they are not particularly valuble. the LeSabre GN was just the Earl Schieb black paint job and suspension package, similar to the later T-Type packages offered on that car.

Yup, just an appearance package. I also heard that the non-turbo 6 cars like the LeSabre had a solid red 6 that is referred to as a "power 6" unlike our warm and hot two-tone turbo 6 emblems.

I don't remember if they used a different emblem or not, but knowing GM they didn't. The Century Grand Sport from 86-87 did use a solid red 6 logo however.

The LeSabre also got a solid red power six. Wait, I just did a quick search and happened upon this, it looks like it got a solid red six with a stripe down the middle like our turbo six's

LeSabre GN

Also, I got lectured by a TR guru about the six. The six started out with the Nascar motors which is why its called a power six, the casting on the stage blocks is one solid six as it is on non-turbo Buicks that garnered the six. Since the Nascar motors were NA there was no need to show it as a turbo.

If I remember correctly, the 82 Gn was the first Buick to show a two-tone power six that just naturally made its way to the turbo cars.
