I'm listing this here because I know the how hard it can be to find a rust free car to start off with. This car could be an excellent clone starting point or even an original body replacement if you swap the vin tag.

It a 1986 Buick Regal - 307v8 200r non OD trans

The car is beat up but has had 2 owners and is RUST FREE. The quarters and back half of the car is very very clean minus a few dings but could easily be fixed without any patch panels.

The car does run and drive awesome. I had the carb rebuilt and the thing gets something near 28 MPG on the highway. The problem I'm having with selling the car as a driver is the fact that the front clip is banged up pretty bad. It was never in an accident but rather was driven by an old lady for a little longer than it should have been and was dinked on a few poles in casino parking lots.

Both fenders need replacing. They cannot be straightened. The front bumper would also need replacing and more than likely the nose also.

The doors are salvageable but need to be straightened. One could possibly need a reskin.

128,000 on the clock. Dark Blue paint,Blue bench interior in grate shape minus headliner and a stain or 2, AM/FM radio no EQ

I bought the car for $900 and put $500 into it. I'm asking $1000 and open to reasonable offers.

It may be more politically correct to say use for "Rebody an Original" - Legal.
Versus "Swap the Vin Tag" - Very Illegal.
Looks like a nice car though for the price.
How did it stay so rust free as a driver in NJ, was it orignally a southern car?
