Testing the waters out there for my street/strip 86 T Type with 2 Different Options to Buy! I am in No rush to sell. I’m open to sell in either option or configuration below.
I bought the car to transplant all the goodies and engine into one of my cars but unfortunately the engine was no good (damaged rods and a cracked block). Now I am looking to sell the car as a “ROLLER”!
NO MOTOR & NO TRANSMISSION
CT Title is Branded - “EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS”
1986 Buick Regal T-Type (Turbo 3.8-liter V6 car)- 1 of 1,921 with red cloth interior. Carfax report shows collision damage in 1986 and was declared a “Total Loss” and shows the Title was Issued as “Exceeds Mechanical Limits”. In July 2016 mileage reading was 55,230 and now currently shows 28k miles on the odometer.
The car needs some body work but has high quality parts. First with the ugly; it has rust bubbles that are visible on both sides of the roof just above the windows and also the left door. A few scratches on the body here and there and some paint chips. Car was painted at some point before I owned it but not sure when (No SPID Label on the trunk lid).
The good; the car has lots of high quality parts, most of which have less than 2,500 miles on them. The car has a roll cage with swing-out bar on d/s, RJS safety race belt harness on d/s, rear chassis has been notched for bigger tires and easily fits the 15″ Weld Rodlite wheels with Toyo fronts and a set of 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Pro radials in the rear, front one piece lip spoiler, tinted windows, battery relocated to the trunk with a external battery kill switch, line lock, adjustable brake proportional valve, updated brake booster, fiberglass front & rear bumpers with aluminum bumper struts, high volume in-tank fuel pump (450lph) in a new spectra fuel tank, fuel pump hot wire kit and -8AN fuel line, F-body radiator, AutoMeter gauges (boost, oil and temp) and a CD stereo head unit. I’m sure I'm missing a few things. This car has a great foundation for a street strip hot rod.
OPTION #1 is the above with a full stock suspension and stock 8.5” GN rear_ $8K
OPTION #2 sitting in its current form is the above with all the parts below in place of the stock components. Upgraded BAER brakes, All Spohn suspension, rear differential with detroit locker and 31 spline axles and a B&M Shifter_ $16.5 OBO
I have plenty of pics, ask questions and what you need to see. PLEASE do not waste MY time. Don't contact me If you need permission to buy. I Prefer local pickup but can help with car transport or would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance. I’m located in Oceanside (Long Island), NY 11572
Parts below have less than 2,500 miles and alone are worth nearly $10k, not including the roll cage and notched rear.
