1989 Econoline E-150 No Start HELP!!!!

My van broke down yesterday, and my GN broke down today. I need a car!

The van has a 302 FI and auto trans.

It simply wouldn't start at first. It would turn over but not start. After a few trys the starter wouldn't go anymore.

I tried a jump but the starter wouldn't budge. I tried jumping the solenoid, and that wouldn't turn the starter. I tried hooking the starter directly to the battery with the jumper cables, and it wouldn't budge!

I don't know much about this engine. The fuel pump turns on with the ignition, so that's a first step. I know it's getting fuel.

I don't really know much about Fords. Can someone point me towards a Ford Ignitions for Dummies? Any ideas how to fix this?

If it doesnt have spark and has fuel try replacing the TFI module that bolts to the side of the distributor. Ive rplace aleast a hundered over the years. sounds lie it need a starter also.
