I have decided to sell the twin to my first car.

This is a 1990 Pontiac Sunbird GT Turbo.

Mileage: 90,348.7 miles
Exterior color: Torch Red
Interior color: Grey cloth
Options:
5 speed manual transmission
Power windows
Power locks
Aftermarket 10 spoke aluminum wheels with wheel locks
Xenon fog lights in factory location
The previous owner installed a Cavalier Z24 fiberglass hood

In 1990, Pontiac changed the look of the Sunbird GT. They added a new nose with flip up headlight doors, new front and rear bumpers, new smooth contoured side skirt rocker panels and a new deck lid spoiler. 1990 was also the last year that Pontiac offered the Turbo 2.0L 4 cylinder in the Sunbird GT. Official production figures are hard to nail down, but from what I have seen, there were just a little over 5500 +/- GT Turbos produced in 1990. This motor was factory rated at 165hp and 175 ft lbs of torque, running 9.5 psi of non intercooled boost. The stock turbo is a Garrett T-25 water cooled journal bearing turbo. M/T magazine tested 0-60 in 7.2 seconds and 15.2 @ 94mph which was the fastest pocket rocket sub compact available in 1990. I actually took my first car, which is an almost exact twin to this car, to 14.00's @ 98mph with simple bolt on mods back in 1993. Straight 93 octane pump gas too. This car is an exact clone to my first car, which I still own. Same color, same interior. The only difference between this one and my first car, is this car has power windows and locks, where as my first car has manual windows and locks. Another quick fact, in late 1990 when GMC was scavenging parts from the shelves to build the Syclone, they used the dash cluster with a repainted RPM red line and the ECM from the Sunbird Turbo GT's.

I purchased this car on 12/31/10 from Motor City Auto Auction in Fraser MI. I paid $2,899.00 for her. My original intentions were to use this car as my daily driver during the winter months. But seeing that it's in such excellent condition, I could not bring myself to drive this car in the snow. There are two very small spots of surface rust on the passenger side door just above the body molding, but other than this, I could not find any other signs of rust. These spots are about 1/8" in size and could easily be fixed. The reps at Motor City told me that this car was acquired from a local Chevy dealer from the original owners who traded her in. And they have never had so many people call / inquire about a car in the past. It's amazing how clean and original this car is, being 22 years old. From the looks of it, this car has been garage kept her whole life. She's been in my garage since day one, taking my '05 GTO's spot no less. Everything works, no issues that I found from the limited driving that I did. Car stops solidly. Tires have about 1/2 tread life left. Turbo spools great and the car pulls strong. She is a very solid car and an excellent example of the last 2.0L Turbo 4 cylinder offered in the J-cars. I barely put 154 miles on the car since I bought her.

Before those miles, I gave her a good spring cleaning which include the following:

Bosch O2 sensor, AC Delco Rapid Fire #4 spark plugs gapped at a tight .035, Kirban Performance 8mm grey spark plug wires with Made for you black wire separators, new distributor cap and rotor, Autozone Duralast Gold 75 series battery, 4 piece grey floor mat set, new windshield wipers. STP OEM replacement air filter, 4 quarts of Valvoline Maxlife 5w30 oil, one bottle of ZDDPlus and a Mobil 1 filter. Extras that will come with car, that I did not get around to doing, fuel filter, Valvoline Dot 3/4 brake / clutch fluid and cylinder head temp sensor. These items will come with the car.

I am asking $2,700.00 USD for the car. No joy riders or tire kickers. I feel that the price I am asking for this beautiful car is a very fair price. Especially considering the condition of the car. I am selling the car as is with no warranty and have title in hand.

If you have any questions or would like to make arrangements for purchase, I can be reached at this email address:

prubioru2@sbcglobal.net

I only wish my 1st car was in this good of condition.
Thank you for viewing.
