OK, I am afraid of what might be involved, I am hoping there is a trick I am missing.

1994 S-10 4x4 Blazer. Replacing upper and lower ball joints. I cannot seem to get the lower out because it is sandwiched between the control arm and spindle assembly. The CV joint keeps it from dropping down. I HOPE I don't have to remove the CV joint. This thing has 150,000 miles and it looks like nothing is going to come apart easy. PLEASE tell me there is an easier way. Anyone? TIA.....

I have the joint broken loose and the bolts removed, I just can't get it out of there....

i know that suspension WAY to well.

CV has to come out...

Big nut on axle, 6 on flange, back will drop down and slide out. EASY!

Then spindle will drop off the Balljoint.

I can remove ALL the suspension in 2 hrs, arms, shocks, everything.

Thanks. That was what I was afraid of... :(

Its all so rusty. Ill start spraying it down tonight....

Jeff,
I was able to do the second side in about an hour. What a difference.

All I did was break free the upper and lower, remove the caliper and rotor. Remove the big nut off the spindle and slide it off. I left the CV in the car and the 6 bolts on the flange I never touched. I even left the tie rod attached.

Thanks for the help, it got me going in the right direction. All done now!
