Pypes SS exhaust
Just a heads up, 409 stainless is used for this Pypes system. 409 stainless is what the factory headers were made from. So it will discolor/rust like the factory headers. The $600 SS exhaust systems are made from 304 stainless, a much better quallity. 304 SS will polish up nicely and keep looking good. The Houston DPs were made from 304 SS and only got some slight discoloration and bluing at the elbow as a result of the high exhaust gas temps at the turbo.
It all depends on what you are looking for. I got the 2.5" 304 SS from Cotton's and spent a long day polishing. I liked this system because it uses the factory hangers above the rear axle. No drilling more holes in your frame like some other systems.
The original ATR system was 304 SS and when last available (2003?) sold for $589.99 according to their old price list. So our vendors have done a good job to keep this available at a similar cost. Good luck.

I have an ATR stainless dual 2 1/2 system. It is in excellent shape. Car only has 13,000 miles on it. The exhaust is several years old but has very few miles on it. Approx 3-5000 miles only. Has ATR stainless straight thru mufflers. Make me a reasonable offer and we will go from there.
I am looking to go to dual 3 inch system with new engine.
System is still on car. I am just outside of Detroit, Michigan.
The original ATR price for the 2 1/2 system with aluminzed mufflers was $495 and with stainless mufflers was $695.
