2 Fast, 2 Furious movie review; now I know why rice acts that way...

Saw it last weekend... I must say I now know where they get it from.

First of all, I have never seen the first installment. This one had an "ok" plot to it but I had nothing to compare it to.

Basically to sum up the movie other than all of the scattered a$$ running around in skimpy clothing;

just about every car had NOS, and every time they used it the scenery all got blurry like they were going warp speed. the dumbest thing I can think of about this movie was anytime 2 or more cars raced, they would show someone flooring the gas again while they were racing to catch up to or pull away from someone else. now how stupid is that? who lets off the gas in a close race? I could understand if you had 12 busses on the other guy but come on.

I did see the first one - have not seen the sequel, yet. The first one was a standard, boiler plate movie plot. Cop goes under cover, becomes too close to the criminal to arrest him at the crux of the movie. Of course, there is the side story of the love interest which happens to be the sister of the criminal getting involved with the under cover cop.
When the sequel comes out on video I will rent it and have very low expectations. But, like I said before, we are car people, we have to see the movie because we love all things related to cars even if we laugh or roll our eyes.
My guess is that the best thing about the sequel would be the girls walking around.

I saw a little blurb on tv from the producer and he said the only way to make the race scenes captivating was to make everything look like it was moving at warp speed, a starwars look. I can understand his point and the look he was trying to accomplish as a producer.

The best part of the movie was the Yenko Camaro. That car is awesome. Another thing I like about the movie is the fact that they showed a lot of respect for the Camaro and the Mopar (Charger or Challenger, I don't know).

I've done that too - we have an area on the west side of town where they congregate. I just love to get the GN out, pull in there and circle slowly, watching them look my way but trying to not be obvious about it, nervous glances on their faces...

Kind of like a shark circling a school of fat, juicy (but very s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w) tuna. It's not a matter of IF one or more of them is going to get killed if he moves - just which one.

They never rise to the occasion - usually they'll just bump up the 8000 gigawatt stereo a little more so they can deceive themselves that dB's is the same as HP, all the while hoping that if they don't look the predator in the eye, he'll just go away...

But they always know he's there... just waiting.

Raven I have never heard it put any better. Most of the import guys here act real nice. I guess they think that way we won't want to run them. I think that movie is the main reason we have the ricer problem. It spreads like the plague.

I just saw it the other day finally. I liked it better than the first. Not the best movie of all time, but at least it's a car movie (glorifying stret racinf isn't such a bad thing either )

I think they both sucked. some of the effects were entertaining though, and both plots generic. the first F&F was a blatant ripoff of that movie with Keanu Reeves....you know the surfer movie with Patrick Scuzzy....wtf was the name of that movie???? well, basically replace the surfers with ricers and BOOM, there you go.

THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE IS WHEN THE RICE IS ABOUT TO RACE THAT MOPAR, THE RICE REVS IT, AND THINKS HE IS BAD ASS, THEN THE MOPAR REVS UP, THE CAR STARTS LURCHING ALL OVER THE PLACE, AND THE RICER SQUATS DOWN IN HIS SEAT WITH AN OH **** LOOK ON HIS FACE!! LMAO

I think the best part in the 2nd one is when the mudstain gets rolled over by the tractor trailer
