Just found these old pictures. The Mustang had 56,000 miles, paid $900. The '50 Chevy had just lost a wheel and broke all the lugs. Both pictures are from 1970.

WOW we had the same car.. I got my 65 tri power in 75 for $700- I needed those slicks bad. I remember burning the little 14's through 1 & 2 gear

I bet you did ... 14s? :D I ran L-60-15s on the street. That would be 275-60-15 in today's nomenclature. Still burned them up with my 4:33 gears.

I'll have to dig out some pics.
In the early 70s I bought a 65 GTO conv with factory air for $1200 and sold it a few years later for a whopping $1600. All stock and clean.

In 1972, after trying to sell it for 6 mos, starting at $2k and ending at $500, I ended up trading a 57 Bel Air conv 283 all stock and clean for a 61 GMC 3/4 ton truck v6 and 3 speed. A year later the guys daughter was offered $1000 for the car.

Timing Timing Timing.

Then there was the guy selling a Judge that I offered $1800 for, he wanted ~$2500, and he sold it to someone for $850. duh

Scaned old Polaroids. Crappy photos

Red? I went through a phase like that. :)

I have a bunch of polaroids too. I'm going to have to scan them in some time. They have the same bluish hue as yours. It must have been built in to the film.

No, I meant 14" tires. If you did 14.30s with 14" tires ... now that's pretty good.

I just knew that it would go better in 1/4. I bet it was a low 13 or high 12 car by the way it felt.

It had a short throw hurst 4 speed shifter. I never missed a gear with that close tight throw shifter..

After the GTO I had a 28k mile 1973 Z-28 I always mis shifted that car which made me lose many races. :(

That Red had the 60's COBWEBBING. It was WILD

The Blue was from the shiney building of theSUNOCO STATION I worked at JUST KIDDING,,,,,, it was Prolly bad film

Here was is my $300- WINTER beater in 1978.. it ran 14:50 all stock with 85k miles. It beat many cars in Street racing & New England Dragway bracket racing
