I just picked up a new 27k GVW B&M super cooler (stacked plate design). My question is: Would it be ok for me to use this new cooler in addition to my existing external cooler (no radiator cooler in use)? I guess I'm worried about pressure lose or something bad like that! I have a new tranny that has a bunch of $$$ in it and desire this thing to last me as long as possible. The few times I've been to the track with it, my tranny temps reached as high as 240* out the back door launching off a T brake. I can't imagine what the temps might reach this summer when it's really hot out???

by all means

Yes you can run two. I do in the prostreet car. Two of the largest. Wont hurt anything. But I will tell you that the 9X11 converter does not like sustained high temp. It should never be sustained at over 250 for any period of time. Just a note.......

coolers

the line into my radiator broke so i was in a pinch and used the cooler for my ac will this hurt the tranny(cooler was flushed of freon)and also how do u get a temp gauge for a tranny:confused:

Bruce,
That 240* pass was what the temp maxed out at before it started to fall back to normal temps. I have a recall feature on my tranny temp gauge. As for "sustained" temps over 250*, how long would you define "sustained"? Anyhow, thanks for the info, I'm headed out right now to mount the second cooler!
PS>> What fluid do you recommend for your trannys? With my PMAC tranny I ran Type F for 6 years, seemd to work well.

Thanks,

Sustained..... more than 5 miles....

as for fluid whatever you like but F is a myth....
