200 4R 4th gear and lock-up problem:

Hi Guys, New member here with a new problem. Any help would be appreciated. I have an 83 Regal that I recently restored. I removed the computer and rebuilt and installed a 305 Chevy engine and a 200 4R transmission. To lock it up I ran a ground wire and a switched 12V wire to the trans. The power goes thru a 4 th. gear switch, then to the solenoid. The switch checks out and when in od the solenoid clicks. When driving with the lock-up switch off, the tranny is fine. All gears including OD work fine. If I switch the lockup on all is still ok. When I get into OD as long as I drive a steady speed I can accelerate in OD without a problem. The problem starts when I take my foot off from the gas a decelerate a little,Then hit the gas to accelerate the car jerks hard only once then goes back to normal. I think the trand is dropping out of OD and lock up when I decelerate, then when I accelerate it goes back into both rather abruptly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance Ed
