I have a few questions for all you tranny guries I was hoping you guys could answer for me. My tranny is starting to slip a little, .... okay a lot and I need to rebuild it. I want to build it once and set it up for a low 10 sec- high 9 sec car. Wont be running that time anytime soon but want to make sure it could handle the power. Now I wanted to know what parts you guys use to build a strong tranny and what parts usually fail in our trannies. I plan on rebuilding it my self so any info/tips would greatly be appreciated. Also where could I get these parts? Thanks again fellas!

Buy CK's manual. It is the best source of info out there. It will walk you through, step by step, with explanations and pics, the complete disassembly and reassembly of the trans including performance modifications.

Ive rebuilt trannies and transaxles in school and Ive rebuilt a butt load of our new 7 speed trannies @ mercedes. Never built a 200-4R before but looking foward to it. Reguardless I will probly get the book you recommended above and do some reading before I get my hands dirty. As far as parts for the 200-4r, what is am estimate of money I would to to build a strong tranny with all the bells and wistles (ie trans-lock, billet everything,) and what stall convertor is recommended if Im looking for a 3K-3,200 stall l/u convertor. Car will be 20% street/ 80% track.......
