2003 2500hd

I just bought a '03 2500HD the truck comes with a single stainless 3in exhaust I am trying to find someone that has changed the muffler on their 6.0L. Please let me know Im looking to replace it with another 3in Stainless piece. Thanks in advance,

I have a 02 2500 hd with the 6.0/4.11's. Nice huh? Wait till it breaks in. It will get MUCH faster. Around 5000 miles it seems top pick up 50 hp lol

Does the 6.0 liter get decent gas milage at all?

I am trying to decide Chevy and a 6 o 8 liter or Ford and a Powerstroke Diesel.

Mileage ok - but...

I had a '02 6 liter 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab Shortbed that I put ~29k on before I traded it. Nothing wrong with it and I loved the truck, just wanted a little better mileage.

It got ~13 around town and ~15.5-16.5 on the highway, not bad for a big ol' HD 4x4 but with expensive gas I spent a lot on fuel. I bought the truck new and put all those miles on in about 15 months.

Two months ago, I traded the truck for an '03 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Quad Cab Shortbed Sport, Cummins H.O. Diesel (305hp, 555 lb/ft Tq) with the HD Six Speed and 3.73 axles. The truck gets ~18-19 mpg around town and on the two short trips I've had it on, it's gotten nearly 22 mpg. I'm VERY impressed with the truck and especially the Cummins - it's unbelievably quiet, especially compared to the earlier Cummins motors (I had an '01 Cummins HO and it was impossible to live with the noise, IMO). It's even quieter than the Duramax.

You'll like the 6.0 Chevy for its power and torque. The fuel mileage is certainly acceptable with cheap gas prices but if gas hits two bucks or more per gallon it may be expensive, as would any big truck with steep gears, no matter the brand.
