i was curious because i have heard people say janis in OHIO could build one for 900.00 , then some say cen.trans in texas is the only one he askes for abouy 2100.00 for arebuild job so if anyone could lead me in the right directions for a decent amount of money hit me up.

There are a few reputable builders and most are listed on here.
Janis can definitely do it, but $900 is probably a stock rebuild without any billet parts.
You will need a forward drum and servo minimum at 500 HP.

I'm also in TX, but I'm in North Texas, about an hr away from Dallas or Ft. Worth.

Chris at CKPerformance can take care of you also.

Where are you at, and maybe we can recommend someone closer.

 Im in north Alabama a small city called town creek:biggrin:

I don't know of anyone in that area. Maybe someone will chime in that does.

I ship them and can do one at that power level, if you can't find anyone locally give me a shout.

billet shaft fwd drum,a good rebuild kit, steel pump rings, stator tube, shift recalibration kit and a good builder.

Brian Prince in Tuscaloosa builds a mean 2004r.Hell do a bench job with shift kit and rebuild for around $800-$900.

Hes built several guys on this forums 2004r.PM me for his #.

Or contact Dusty Bradford on this board, hes from Huntsville and im sure he knows of a good builder.

I sent my tranny to Janis last week its 750 w/o billet internals. But It costed me 100 to ship it there and 100 back to OKLAHOMA.

I spend around $800 in parts for my first rebuild. There is less than 10k miles on it (probably not even 5 nights at the track) and it's coming out soon, for a VERY Bad flare and slipping. Spend the $ to have one done right, or save until you can afford to, otherwise you'll be dropping the tranny to have it done again soon. Even if you have to ship it somewhere, do it.

So, rather than spending the $ on a dual BB PT67 like I was saving up for, I get to buy a tranny:( .
