I was thinking about an '04 with an aftermarket hood on it to help the plain-jane looks. Here's one version (by MPD) that is really awesome and is what should have been on the car from day one, in my view! [/B]

The 04 would be a good buy right now. IMO the style is neither bad or good, just a car, and as in my past replies to posts on the new GTO, still firm on it is not a Pontiac, period. It is a good performance car though with track time (road coarse) and if I were to buy one, black or that gun metal like blue would be nice, of course the first mod would be to remove ALL the emblems ( especially PONTIAC), though the grill one probably would have to stay ( holes in grill), maybe remove the wing to. Don't put any retro hoods or scoops on, no sense trying to make it look like our favorite old Pontiacs, sorry, it's just not related. Use the money for engine mods:D , maybe change the wheels, wonder if the Z06 Corvette front wheels would work all the way around? they seem to be very available, would give a better appearance. I would give the credit to this car to Holden, even if it is still called a GTO. Too bad it would be a bit of a hassel to get the original holden front bumper, it bit better looking IMO, anyway good luck with your choice.

As for an 05, if the price jumps back up, myself I would probably get a used Z06 instead, better handling, 500+ pounds less, and looks.
