todays gto is a 1990 holden monaro with a camaro ls1 engine. IF buick made the gnx it would be another holden car (i dont know the name of it) but it will look just like the gto with buick badges on it. junk.... i dont like the gto just because gm is going over seas to bring back old car names for the retro age.

i think gm is doing a crappy job of taking all the muscle car names and making family cars out if them, and dodge killing the charger name by making it 4 doors.

i dont like the new camaro comming out because it dosent look like the 69 camaro looks like the caddillac xlr, only part that looks like it is the side windows, but dodge hit the nail on the challanger as it looks like the old challanger that is up dated to todays specs very cool.....

pontiac or buick is on the chopping block, because all the old people are buying the mercury grand marquis than the lesabre/lecrosse. but the solstice
is attracting the midle age men and the unger crowd, so i thing there going in the right direction with their sport compact i do like the saturn sky better. ive herd people putting the lc2 engine in the solstice, i think thats cool..

now can we please put this to rest and hope we dont have to sell our buicks and have to buy hondas or any other import crap!!!!!!

People should stop complaining about the GTO...At least, it's rear-wheel-driven, has a V-8, and has a body which is in style with the 2000's trends
to bad the 2000's trends are gay.

i think ford has the right idea with styling... making them retro-looking with a modern twist, like the 05+ mustangs, the t-birds, and the GT. i thought dodge was off on the wrong track with the charger, but it looks like the challenger will make up for it! i agree, the challenger is exactly what a modern muscle car should look like. it's about 1000 lbs too heavy though. where is GM at? the GTO is a bubble that looks nothing like the original -- it resembles a cross between a grand am and a grand prix. performance is great with the ls2, but dam it's fugly. they needed to at least do the vertical, round headlights and the 3-slit taillights. i think it would be pretty sweet to bring back the looks of the old 50s chevy cars too... a modern version of a '57 chevy would make an awesome sedan/coupe. GM needs to get with the program... i've always owned GMs, but if i was in the market for a brand new car right now, i'd probably be going with something else. the only one i'd remotely consider is the solstice/sky. i drove a solstice last month and it was pretty awesome.

"henschman", I understand what you just wrote and respect your opinion about the GTO. You know what?...I think it all comes down to a matter of personal taste...It is next to impossible to please everyone!...;) Yes it's true the GTO is very round like a bubble...but these are today's trends...I personally have a tendency to like everything that is big and round too! :D :D :D!!...just joking here...but don't worry "henschman", I fully respect your opinion. ;)
See 'ya!

I have been a fan of the GN's and X's since I first saw them at the age of 8 back in 1989. I am currently in college for Mech. Engineering and my ultimate plan as a lifelong goal is to bring back the GN's. I would not even think about it not having a turbo. Maybe this will be the last you hear of it....I just hope not!

If Buick makes a new GN-GNX it will be to ride the coat tails of the real deal.

Look at the V8 Grand Am's they call GTO's

Look at the FOUR door Charger

New is great. But comparing new to old is silly if you are one of the people wanting things to stay the same. The only thing that is certain is change.

Judge the new stuff coming out by its own merits and not by what we wish it would have been if we would have gone to college to be auto engineers

The only thing Buick close to a Gn concept was a car called the Velite......it was powered by a ecotec v6TT I believe.....

this is what I seen

I seen a few pics somewhere and it looks like a gto with black paint and fender vents. No attitude at all espically with a supercharged 6 chevy engine.

Forget about Buick making anymore rwd cars... its over... I have heard from a very good source here in Houston, a Gm rep that its not happening.. as a matter of fact, Buick might be getting the ax......

Try googling "Buick #1 in China"

Buick has been the #1 car sold in China for over five year$!

Your GM rep is an idiot. Buick is the biggest money maker for GM!.

Chit, they have RWD Buicks in China.
The top of the line Buicks in China are better than any Caddy or BMW.
Crazy world we live in huh?
