'87 GN Hardtop $12,500 OBO
I'll admit that at 11.48, my car is probably the SLOWEST to ever win the Super 16 Turbo Class at the Buick GS Nationals. However, I got in, advanced to the Finals and got the win. My car ran so consistent that week, that we were also able to win the "KING OF THE HILL" race against the winner of Super 16 Big Block.
The point of this bit of history is that the car that I'm selling is about as consistant as any Turbo Buick Race Car you will find anywhere.
It has run a best of 11.28 at 119.9 with a 1.53 60'.
It is now in complete street trim (dual Flowmaster cat back exhaust system and T-type wheels) and runs 11.50-11.60's all day long at the track. Powermaster has been gone over by Richard Clark, the undisputed king of Powermasters. Nothing works better than a proper functioning Powermaster unit!
The car has a PTE-51 turbo on it, 009 injectors, front mount intercooler, Terry Houston Down pipe, S-10 rear wheel cylinders, boxed upper and lower rear control arms, rear seat brace kit, Walbro fuel pump with hotwire kit installed, boost gauge on A-pillar, 5 1/2 inch Buick Motorsports memory Tach, TurboLink version 2.0 and old laptop for tuning, long studs on rear wheels, drive shaft loop, tranny pan with drain plug, ported stock heads, but otherwise untouched motor from a 13,000 mile show car. Other than heads, the motor has never been opened up. Driver's side header has been professionally repaired with new webbing fabrication.
The exterior looks great, but there are a few MINOR battle scars on the car (stone chips, and one small dent in drivers quarter from a jack rolling over in the trunk). From 5-10 feet away, the car looks like a million bucks.
The interior is 100% complete, except for the stereo CD player that I had installed. (new speakers were also installed at the time) Buyer will also receive the original factory AM/FM casette stereo player that was removed at that time.
There are no rips or tears in the seats or headliner. The only place on the carpeting with a wear hole is where your left foot rests during driving. Otherwise the carpeting is clean and rip/tear free. I am not a smoker, so the car has not been smoked in since 1996 when I bought the car.
I have everything that was ever removed from the car when I started upgrading it. It's all included in the sale.
I've posted some pictures of the car from just a month or two ago, in addition to a few older ones from the track. You can also see the footage of the "KING OF THE HILL" FINAL RACE AT THE 2007 GS NATIONALS at: MySpace - BAD ASS BUICKS - 43 - Male - OSHKOSH, Wisconsin - myspace.com/badassbuicks
(you'll also see a lot of other cool stuff on our great Buicks!)
Call me at 920-410-7992 to discuss the purchase of my car, if you are really serious. I'd like to have it sold by the time the snow accumulates up here in Wisconsin.
Thanks!
