I just removed my Stageright tranny brake. I'm trying to go back to stock. I'm not the one that installed it originally. I replaced the seperator plate with an un-modified one, re-installed the missing check ball, and replaced both of the valves. The car will not move now. No forward or reverse gears. I rushed the filter install and may have messed that up, causing the problem. If not, I suspect I installed the 1st gear override valve wrong. Would that cause it? I installed it with the spring first, and the head of the valve against the aluminum plug. Is this the right way? Got any pics? Dave C.

manual valve

Did you get the manual valve hooked upright or hooked up at all? The Z linkage can unhook very easy when trying to get the VB in place.

77 cruiser, you hit the nail on the head! I dropped the pan and found that "Z" link unhooked. I should have noticed it before installing the pan. It seems to work fine now. :D Dave C.
