200r4 assembly help needed

Is there a secret to installing the L/R center support? Every time i try and install it, the Clutch apply ring on the back keeps popping out of place.

Also once i get the L/R center support close enough how in the world do you match the teeth up from the L/R center support to the low roller clutch race? I've been lightly tapping the L/R c/s into position and right before it gets to the low roller race the clutch apply ring pops out of its groove.

Damn I was hoping not to spend $100 or so on one tool for one transmission job
