Ok what is the best solution here I have a 200r4 trans that due to my new found power has started to slip / flair at the 3rd gear shift the trans is a PTS that was in the car when I bought it several years ago and the paper work shows it was done in 2002 and has the Billet input shaft, Deep pan, and the ( Killer Street ) rebuild ..should I trust a local Trans shop here in Florida to do a Basic rebuild with maybe new clutchs and bands or do I pay to have it shipped to a shop here on the board?? I hate to pay for the shipping cost both ways .. also I want to add the Billet drum and do the dual feed to 3rd gear mods while its out ( I dont know if PTS did this mod back in 2002 ) . so do you think I should buy a Good rebuild kit ,Billet Drum from the board and trust someone here to put it in right or should I buy a CK video and try to do it myself ? or is there a good shop near Florida that I can trust ?? ps I have spent my Wad already on the motor build and was not expecting the trans problem right now so $$ is tight. What is the going price to have this trans basicly freshened up??

pay peanuts ya get monkeys  You shovel over $10k in an engine then expect a $500 rebuild on a tranny that most "tranny guys" have NO idea what the hell they are doin!?? Come on!! I can see a 10 page thread now "Whats wrong with my new rebuilt tranny" I believe Bruce doesn't do "dual feeding"..

WOW I see you are living up to your name (Grumpy) who said anything about $500.00 I am asking for the best solution on a basic freshening up my trans is not toasted it it just starting to slip under a good amount of boost ... and the 1st trans rebuild was $3,000 so there is already good parts in this trans .

If you want to stay in florida, contact cal at hartline performance,he has a good builder as well.and can add all the parts you want.I wouldn't trust a local trans shop that's not familiar with our cars.stick with our venders on the board and you won't have any problems.I could build it for you also, but I just don't have the time right now..
