I use the Derale 51606 with Aeroquip line & fittings. I go from trans to radiator, out of radiator to external cooler, out of external cooler back to trans.

Where’s yours mounted at? Front of the radiator?

There's only one place to mount one where it'll get any airflow, and without airflow it's a heat sink, not a radiator.

I have mine mounted to the core support just below my ESP front mount.

Sits inside my box in set-up from GNS. So it still gets the airflow from the grill.

Sounds like you already have a cooler mtd.
Being the trans is fresh, just replace the current part with a newer more efficient piece??
