A few minutes of an interesting read..... GN's much faster with a lot less money, but couldn't compare on a road course. Seems the 2013 Shelby would give these 2 a run for their money with a few thousand $ in bolt ons and suspension work, for about $40-60K less

The Mustang as great at this version is can't compare to the lap times on a Z06 or ZR1 vette IMO.

these two are true american supercars! chevy camaros, ford mudstains, dodge challengers are american 4seater sportcars! a few thousand $ in bolt ons is not going to get it done. it will take far more than that! lets do the math hell the hellion turbo kit bolt on alone is 6k. not installed,tuned or track time . a few thousand dont think so unless youre doing it on the obama intitlement program!

You forget what Rousch, and Steeda Mustangs did in road racing perhaps a decade ago, beat the Corvettes and Vipers..... Parts are available, and why would you need a twin turbo system when you have a stock 662 HP motor, that with $2K of bolt ons develops over 700 rwhp...... a lightening program is being developed for the Shelby as we speak! ...... Perhaps you're thinking about the BOSS 302 with the rear seat delete Laguna Seca road racer?
