My car needs tires desperatly and I wondered if 275/50R15 would fit in back. My spring/shock combo is pretty weak and may be sitting a bit lower than stock. I dont want tire rub at all. Any body running this size drag radials. Thanks for any advice in advance.

P.S. T.M. intake and street port heads...

I run a set of 275 50 15 bf drags at the track on stock t type rims 15+7. I do run a 5/16 spacer but they fit great.

275-50-15 DR's

Mine rub.

On the stock wheels they rub on the lip.

On aftermarket that are wider but less offset they rub on the lip and the frame.

With the worn out stock springs both sets rub.

With Eibach lower springs (which set the same just tranfer weight worse  ) both sets rub.

The only way to keep them from rubbing with anybody but myself in it is to put so much air in the bags that it drives like the atypical 70's Camaro with air shocks.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

mine rub with out the spacers but not with the spacers even with 16psi at the track. The bad thing is that it looks like the studs are starting to bend from the spacers and running them at the track so hard.

I had to roll the rear fenders to get them to fit when I lowered my car. At the stock ride height I just had to put them on w/ no rubbing.
