DETAILS: I used Total Seal Gapless Rings in this block with custom pistons and it used oil from startup; so I bought a used block and had it bored to .035 instead of buying new pistons and transfered the rotating assembly to the new block using standard rings this time which worked out fine.
The block has less than a 1,000 miles on it, you can still see the hone marks, with custom .035 pistons the block is ready to put back together or just hone it to .040. Just the 4 steel caps alone run around the $500 range without any machine work.
