I've tried to look up a few things about this. I have a 98 Riv with the sc series II. I was looking into getting a second engine to do some mods and drop in once complete.
At the local JY they have (I believe) a 2000 Regal with the same engine. The inside of the engine looks really clean. One thing I noticed was the throttle body/maf is different than mine. I looked this up and found out about the differences in the pre 99 tb.
That made me wonder if there is anything else I should be aware of that might not make this a direct swap in. Wiring harness differences? Does the pcm need to be considered? Or would my 98 pcm not recognize the difference?
