3.8 turbo Trunk emblem

I was talking to a kid i seen on PAX river NAS the other about his 84 GN. He has an badge on the passenger side of his trunk that said "3.8 SFI TURBO". i was wondering if this is original or he just put it there to look cool. on the other side it has the grand national emblem in the exact spot as mine. I liked the way it looked but if it wasnt there in 84....

GN's never had that emblem on the trunk. T-type and WE4's had it on the driver side of the trunk in all years, alon with a BUICK emblem in the pass side. GN's of all years only had the GN emblem on the driver side of the trunk, nothing ont he pass side.

It didn't come original with that emblem there.
