3.8 vs. 3800

I've already run a search on this but didn't find a definitive answer. Will a FWD 3800 bolt up to a TH200-4R? I've got an '83 Delta 88 with the 3.8 2bbl and I wanted to do something different than swapping a V8 in so I'm thinking about getting a 3800 S2 from the junkyard and dropping it in with a Megasquirt ECU to run the factory EFI.

If anyone knows the answer to this question or knows where I can find out for sure, please let me know.

No it won't bolt up dirrectly, however if you get a 4L60E out of a Camaro that would work. However it would be easier to get the V6 out of the camaro with the tranny. The 4L60E will also bolt up to the L67 3800 Series II Supercharged that came in lots of cars, all FWD though bolt pattern is the same.
