With 5volts applied to gray wire, and ground applied top black wire. You should see ~1/3 of 5 volts on the green wire which is 1.6 volts. At 15 PSI pressure applied you get 3.2volts, and at 30 PSI you get 4.8volts.

What if you see a higher voltage on the green wire? Say like 9 volts...is that possible?

Impossible "IF" you have 5 volts on gray. Possible if you have 12 volts on gray. If you have 12 volts on gray, then your not wired correctly.

You can not have higher voltage on the output of a sensor than what supplies power to it. Think of it like your TPS. If your supply is 5, then the most is reads is 4.xx. If your supply was 10.. then it could only go to 9.xx.

If the gray wire has 5volts.. then its impossible to have higher than 5 coming from the sensor.

Or you hooked up 9 volts directly to the green wire from some other source not map sensor.

You need some electrical help with that car

Yes I have some issues...lol I put a voltmeter to it again and now it shows
.05 volts to the green...maybe i was mistaken the 1st time. Where do I need trace this green wire too to find out whats going on.

.05 is with sensor unplugged. Plug it in and it will give you 1.6 ignition ON engine not running.

Green gets voltage from MAP. If you unplug the map.. you get no voltage.

Map needs 5v(gray) and ground(black) to output proper voltage on green.

Oh ok maybe its ok then.
