Anybody have this problem ? It's driving me crazy. If I can't get something figured out I'm going back to the 2 1/2".

Which pipe do you have. I have the 3 inch replacement that bolts to the stock elbow. Mine hits the heat sheild so i bent it out of the way.

Poly drivers side motor mount took care of my problem. I didn't want to lose performance by dropping to the smaller DP, so I used the poly mount. Ask Bweavy, he carries them new.

Mine is the 0-60 3" pipe that bolts to the stock elbow. Also I already have poly mount.

Sounds like the same pipe, when i put mine on it was ok. Then i put on the atr uppipe and it pulled on my turbo a little then made the dp hit the heat sheild for the heater box.

Sorry to hijack your thread but im gonna want to upgrade to a 3" DP soon. Where are you guys getting yours from? About how much do they cost? Thanks guys

I got mine when i bought some used poston headers, it came with them. I will be selling it as soon as my mease 3 inch down pipe gets here, who knows when that will be. If i had a choice between this pipe and the mease i would keep this one since it was over $300 less and will flow what i need it to. But since i ordered the mease pipe back in april b4 i had this one, I will use the mease pipe and he was the only vendor making them. If i get my mease pipe i will sell this one for $100 plus shipping.

Would it work with the stock manifold's? If so give me a shout when you decide to sell it.

I have the same 0 to 60 3inch downpipe and Poston 84-85 headers. The guy I bought it from made some dings on the downpipe. I can take some pix tonight when I get home and post.

You will be happy with the mease downpipe, it makes a huge difference and is a really good piece.

Make sure to contact him and have it packaged good though, because when I got mine, it had a dent in it from the pipes banging, and Im still trying to get a new piece.

Mine used to band the A/C heater box too, with some toying around and adjusting, you should be able to get it to stop.

When did you get your mease pipe and how long did it take to get it, i am going on 5 months wait so far.

Hmm its been a few years since I got mine, but I didnt wait too long a few weeks maybe, but Mease said it was because of the coater, I had mine ceramic coated when I purchased it from him.

He does not seem to quick to get me a new top section, ive been waiting a year or so, since mine had a sub par packing job, got dented during shipment.

He does great work though, just probably a little over his head with orders. Maybe needs to hire some more fabricators.

Matto.. I still have the ATR 2 1/2 piece I bought from you. I got a guy here in Birmingham that wants to fab a 1 piece 3 inch based on ATR. I thought he was crazy as hell, but with ATR temporarly out of business, it may not be a bad idea. I got a 2 piece 0 to 60 3 inch downpipe I was going to get fabbed in stainless steel also.

I got lucky!!! :) I bought mine of a board member that was converting his hot air to a 87 setup. Every now and then you will catch someone selling their 3 inch downpipe. I first bought a 2 1/2 ATR piece. I was not planning to change until I found the 3 inch. It is a 0 to 60 piece. From what I was told, they only made around 12 complete 2 piece 3 inch pipes.

Just my .02's

i had the same problem initially. it may sound strange, but i jacked up the left side of my car and then it didnt hit, even after i put it back down. still makes no sense to me, but its worth a try.
