3 Step RPM values for XIM Setups

I know my question has alot of variables associated with it, but i will ask a genreal question and then a more specific question:

I plan on running me 2 step on the foot brake to prespool before the lights and then the 3 step while staged, like most people i assume.

Now, my question is, do most people have higher RPM settings for the 2 step of the three step. I have been told both ways and i cannot understand with one of them. Could someone explain.

More specifically, i am running a Precision 70mm turbo with a PTC converter on 235ci. What would be a good ballpark to set these numbers at to save me time screwing around.

I usually set the first rev limiter to whatver the brakes will comfortably hold.
