I have had a problem for a long time with the car trying to die off the light if i just step on it. Now that i have the scan tool , but the cord needs to be fixed, i can read that the maf is at about 140-180gps. Now iam getting a code on the turbo link that i have a low maf or map sensor. These reads where with a ta54 at 20+psi. Now that i put the ta49 on it is breing the code up now , like its pulling even less air. I did the tap test and nothing , the motor shakes a lot , if i rev it some it will come back down and die most of the time. I also pulled the plug on the maf and it seems to idle a lot nicer but cant rev it or it acts as it has a miss. Also keep getting a code for running to rich.

does this sound like a bad maf, i just paid 110.00 for it less then a 1000 miles ago.
 
If you need to feather the gas when you start you car in the morning to keep it running and when you come to a light after it is warm and it trys to die. You might have a bad MAF.

Easy test. Car off. Disconnect the MAF and start the car. Let it idle. If everything seem cool. Its the MAF.

we told ya a few weeks ago you should be reading 255 at wot with your combo. even with a 49 turbo at 20# it should be maxed out on the maf.

do you still have the 54 ??

yea i know you guys told me, :rolleyes: iam not sure if its the scan tool reading crazy or if it is the maf, because it seems to run pretty nice at wot but aways trys to die if i step on it at the light. I tryed it again and the scan tool just reads crazy things, first run was 120gps and the 2nd was 80gps, would it run good with it this low .

sorry i dont have the ta54 any more i just traded it last night for the ta49. Now i can put the trans in the shop and use my 2800 stall and try to max this 49 out with what i have.
