Are these carbs a bolt on or do they need to be taken apart and rejetted? The intake gasket is leaking internally on the 85 I bought. Figured since I gotta pull the intake I just as well throw a 4 barrel on it if I can get by cheap. If its gonna take too much time and money I'll just throw the 2 barrel back on. Don't want to spend a lot on this motor since it will most likely be coming out this year.
 
Almost all of the E4ME AND E2ME carbs have the same travel of the needles and setting of the solenoid. the o2 sensor reads that fuel and the solenoid moves up and down to control the mix. There are very few needles and jets for them and the secondaries are really the only ones that you need to adjust.
 
WOT here we come, ha-ha-ha ....

The 231 will probably do more with it than the 307 did.
 
Idk about that. I've driven a couple 307s that ran good. A bump in timing and exhaust does help.
