Can the diff be removed and replaced with a tailshaft housing to use a driveshaft?

What?

Are you talking about using a 4 wheel drive transmission? If so, the output shaft would also need to be changed. Basically, you would have to disassemble the entire trans to accomplish this, if that is what you're asking?
