350 or 400 vs 200r4

i would like some honest opinions from you guys i was readin a post and a guy says that a 3 speed is the wrong tranny to try and run in our cars that you cant get 60fts worth any thing with a 3 speed, so i would like to know.

I'm pretty sure that the first gear ratio is lower, higher numerically, than most trannies, including the 350 and 400, that would give you better '60 times. I think I read that the 200 takes less hp to turn than most trannies too, not sure where I read the comparison, but it was very informative.

if a wicked motor is combined with an unmodified suspension the numerically lower ratio of the mentioned 3 speeds will allow the car to benifit from increased traction and a greater distance to be traveled in 1st and 2nd gears before the engine runs out of air .this is of great benefit in many applications ,however when not carefully planned it may slow a car down.plus there aint no overdrive .those who follow my posts will begin to realize my passion with gearing most definately gives my customers THEWINNING EDGE over the competitionwww.ckperformance.com
