A little over a year ago, a new local owner purchased a 4500 mile 1986 GN that was absolutely original and in showroom condition, but he wanted a 10 se. street car, so I built him one!

The stock engine was removed and a well-modifed 4.1 build went in its place. He concluded the 3.8 would never be in his car again, so he has decided to sell it, and get it out of his garage.

This is as close as you can get to a new GN engine, and at $2800 exchange this is a bargain in todays market!

Bring your turbo Buick here, and you can have it installed for a total of $3500. :)

Jeez I think he just means exchange $2800 ( not $28,000) for a virtually new motor..

:stop:He means exchange 2800 fiat currency for said motor. He doesnt add a NOUN after exchange.

That would be the first thing that come to my mind when i see the word exchange, ie ;core

I can't speak for Nick, but I would assume that if he wants a core exchange, it would be because he gave one up in the 4.1 he built for the gentleman. Again, that's only my interpretation.

My interpretation is Nick knows the engine is worth $3500-4000 and wants to be sure he has something he can turn around after the sale. If I was local this engine would be in my possession and core dropped off already.

I agree! And I'm local, just don't have the money for the engine :-( However, I am sending all available funds Nick's way for other stuff, lol
