Seems a little high to me.This is with 28" tires and 3.42's. Anyone with similar tires and trap speeds, what rpm are you at?

Thanks in advance!

I'm 5200 at 118 with 275/60's with a locked up D5.

Your converter or trans is slippin'

no, that's in drive.

600 RPM of slip is pretty common in a loose converter.

Thanks, UNGN. Converter is new and pretty loose. The tranny was just freshened up this Spring. I guess the converter is slipping. I was making sure I do not have to pull the tranny again this year. Sounds like everything is OK!

Too bad I had no luck with running 11's and a lockup. :frown: I run the car at the track every weekend. I could not find a converter that would last very long.

Sounds way loose to me. That's about where I was with my A/C N stall convertor with my GT70 turbo and it was quite a bit too loose for me.

With a PT54 you shouldn't need something that loose. Shouldn't be any reason you can't get a good l/u to live at that power level.

Kevin,
I'm around 5200+ with a locked converter at 121-122 mph with 28's.

Mike
