Can't do it. That turbo requires an oiling pedestal on which the turbo sits. The 38 is good for 25 psi max.

It is still 75% efficient at 25 psi....

The newer GTP38 is better at a higher boost. It comes off the intercooled 7.3 powerstrokes in the late 99 through around '03. They are 75%+ efficiency at just over a 3 pressure ratio.... (roughly 30 psi).. and it flows 50 lb/min of air.... more than the TP38. It would be fairly lazy to spool.... probably take a big converter (around 3500 maybe).... and/or a 50 shot of nitrous to get it up quick.... downside would be header change... and downpipe...

IMHO in the end.... you could make just as much ... maybe more power with a TE44 and be happier.... and it won't have any spooling problems....or the hardware change...

I was confused about it spinning in the opposite direction..........

Should that make a difference?

I put a desiel turbo on a t-type once. My friends said I couldn't do it. I sure they did know I could. So I did it. The a/r is off and was not worth all the extra stuff to make it work. Time is money, really, so do your self a favor and buy one that is tried and true, a true bolt on gn turbo.

The garrett runs out of steam at 25 psi. The map shows that thing to fall flat on its arse.

The spining in the opposite direction thing was humor.

Some units are reverse rotation. In the diesel world the HT3B is the most popular. Also 99% of your turbos are based off diesel units....hehe.;)
