it was blowing smoke. so I had to send it out for a rebuild under warranty. for some reason I cant seal the return line on my 70 gtq. I used the thin gasket (black) precision gave me and then tried the thicker white one from limted. no good, all was cleaned with lacquer thinner. maybe try some spray tac?

hhmmm., I think I spoke to you Don. ZYou guys shipped it to me overnight to NY for the weekend. I spoke to a Don there several times. If it is you thanks for evrything.

yup that's me:D hope you like the turbo...let us know if we can further help! that 70 GTQ is a killer turbo

Thanks Don, it sounds insane! I love it. I got it up to 22 psi on a full run so far.feels strong, quick question, got any tips on how I can seal that damn return line?? It leaks from the front bolt, dont know why. tried 2 diff gaskets and thread sealer on the bolts. I cleaned it with laquer thinner to.

thanks
Ralph

yeah I know how much of a pain that oil return can be...my return doesn't leak right now though...I put a THIN coat of high temp orange silicone sealant on both sides of the gasket that we provided and tighten the bolts pretty tight and no leaks here...if you can install the return line FIRST before you install the turbo...I also use a stainless steel flexible braided line...keep trying and you'll get it...there's no other way!

I thought most guys were pushing nearly 30 psi on this turbo without a problem? maybe it's MOST efficient at 24 psi but there's not a major drop in efficiency up until the 30 mark...unless I am wrong?

Don, please pull your head out of your arse! go read the TSM forum. you will not be after you read that forum

Cheeseburger is referring to the 24psi limit required in TSM. I sure hated to buy that recall boost gauge for BG. ;) I honestly didn't think they were gonna check, but before you weighed in after each pass they would hit the recall button. :D

Yup thats why most buy their gauges straight from auto meter, they will calibrate them to what ever u want.

BTW 3600-4000 stall is best for this trubo. Of course it depends on what u plan to with the car and the state of tune.

Ralph,
I ran as low as a 3400 in mine. Ran very well on the street , couldnt make spool at the track.

Raiph,

I think you will need more stall, but hey take it to the track and see how it 60 foots . I'm running a smaller cam then you, and my 3600 wasn't enough.

James, I will find out soon. ATI owes me a free re-stall to. I want to check the me-r settings as well, maybe I got some room. I suppose you guys like your 70gtq? I love mine.
