hey guys sorry to bother you but i plan on making the th350 to 700r4 swap and i was wondering how my performance is going to be effected. I have driven cars/trucks with the 700r4 and the 1st to 2nd drop doesn't seem bad. I have 3.42 gears in the back, do you think if i can hook up i will be able to help my et's
any advice/info appreciated.
thanks
pete

My stock '89 IROC does 14.9 w/2.73 gears.

AND!!!! he is proud of it!!! LOLOLOLOL :)

It must be the Chevyman in him.....;)

The rpm drop is pretty extreme. I have a 700 in my Z71 and I hate the damn thing. No matter what you do to it, it still shifts like crap. There is just way too much of a drop for my taste, but to each his own. I only wish the general offered the TH200r4 in the trucks since they seem to shift a hell of a lot better. But that is just my opinion.

With only a few mods (Corvette servo, band clearance set, .500 boost valve, pr valve spring and shift kit.) chirps'em hitting 2nd every time. Also I beleive the stock t/c in a IROCZ has a higher stall than the average though.
