Looks like the pump side of the PM reservoir is dry. Wonder what the underside looks like the engine compartment sure is rusty? I've seen similar here on the West Coast near the ocean. Very seldom do you seen rust on any cars here in central Ca.....Including ones stored out side.
That's a shame but yes.. I feel bad for the guys near the shore. I know Jim Benn had a heck of a time keeping his GN rims from not turning into dust. He finally went with something else. My GN was from upstate NY and that road salt did it's work to it. When I got the car home I opened the trunk and there was a full size GN rim as a spare. I thought that's cool. I took it out and it looked like it was sitting in the bottom of the ocean for 10 years! Both sides no less! I showed it to some friends and they were afraid to come near it! That's how nasty this thing was. My GN's got some rust but I don't know where that rim came from. Thankfully the rims on the car were not that bad. These cars were not made to last anywhere there is salt on the road on in the air!
The car looks GREAT... until you open the hood. Have you ever seen a Turbo shield so badly rusted on a 7000 mile car? even all of the aluminum is corroded.
Hosing the engine off once a year would have helped.
