78 turbo distributor

Does anyone know if the 3.8 turbo and the 3.8 distributor are the same and if not can you change the internals too make it work on a turbo motor. I just recently got a 79 turbo motor for my 78 regal too restore it and the motor is missing the carb and distributor. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 78 regal and got a 79 motor for it. rich george told me along time ago that 78 had head problems so since I needed a whole motor too get a 79!

Pretty sure they are the same but you should check with the guys in before black to make sure.

Thanks! I wasnt sure since the turbo control Im told hooks too the distributor. I figured that maybe there was an extra plug for like a tach reading for the computer.
