8.5 GN Posi Rear End

What is the going rate on a 8.5 GN rear end with posi and stock 3.42 gears....?? It has approx...40,xxx miles on it...Any info would help alot....Thank you in advance guys..Regular Diff fluid changes too!!!

Rear End

The rear end is complete....drum to drum....everything included....Another question..will a GN rear end bolt up to an S-10?

Not even close! GN is 4 link, S-10 is leaf sprung. Buy a Ford Ranger 8.8" with locker and your choice of ratio for $300 at the local wrecking yard. Have someone chop the LH axle tube 2", buy and install a second RH axle in the LH tube, cut and reweld the spring perches, redrill the nolt pattern and you've got a killer axle for less than $700.

Make sure when you sell the 8.5 to include the driveshaft , as the rear is junk without it.

I also have an S10 with a 87 GN set up in it. It was set up this way when I prchased it, it has a factory 8.5 for S10 in it, I was told by the guy I bought it from that it was a mid 90's s10 rear from a V6 manual trans. It visual has same center as other 8.5's. Have'nt verified from what its from. Hope this helps .
