I am involved in a new project of my own for my Malibu. I have most of the pieces to put together a turbo small block.
I am trying to decide on whether to use a TH400 or a 2004r. I really would like to have overdrive. I would like to hear some feed back as what would be the best bet.
Bruce! Are ya listening? :)

LOL

Yep, listenin, but not hearing much :D:D

Ok, it will be primarily a street car. Full weight with all accessories. Would a built 200r4 last or would I be better off with a th400?

Well...

You got Chris at CK right there in your backyard. I am sure he will know exactly what to do. :D

If that is how you truly feel, then so be it. I didnt appreciate the cynicism. All I want was your opinion.

our aod with ultra bell will get the job done call us at 718 626 4315 or go to ben pilla in philadelphia or feasterville or bellmawr .they stock most units .1000 plus hpower o/d units .

See Lee.....

Still Chris brings another option to the table.
Man, I gotta watch what i say.... Hehehehe:D

But now you have 3 options. If you are looking for me to tell you what to do, That will not happen. You need to decide, then direct your attention to that direction. I am not a salesman or a pitch man and I do Not play one on tv. I did, However< sleep at a Holiday Inn express last night tho......:D:D ROFL

Bruce,
I have no idea what you find so funny. I asked an honest question from you and you want to act like a 5 year old. I asked because I had dealt with you previously and had respect for you. I guess I should learn my lesson now and not ask for your opinion.

easy tonto..

If you read a few other post such as "blue clutches" you may see more of whats going on.

other than that

there are 2004r trannies behind 800 hp turbo v6's so figure in a car much lighter plus more rear gear to take even more load off the tranny I dont see it being a problem if built with the correct parts

Thanks Red! I wasnt aware of the other post. Sorry Bruce.
**edit** Open mouth and insert foot.

gnvair ,i hope my info was helpful .we deal with alot of small block and big blockcars wich go in the 9s 8s and 7s something i dont believe we4 or red are familiar with . my point is we have thoroughly researched gear ratios and even make our OWN PLANETARY GEAR SETS something that neither of them do .therefore we have an upper hand in certain situations ,this being one . the other post should not have anything to do with this unless oeople are looking to make me appear to be abully or dumb neither of which i am .i only gave you info that i thought youd find useful. i hope you will choose to do business w/us if you need something good .if a lot of gear was always good why do the fastest cars with automatics run 2 speed powerglides?
