82 GN @ Mecum - Harrisburg, PA SOLD $26k (Saturday 3 August 2019)

OK, the youtube video link is now for all of Saturday's action (10.5 hours) - not just the last 4 hours as was the case yesterday.

fast forward to 9 hours and 40 minutes...there is a H1 Hummer truck just before the GN.

I think the family sold that car a few years ago for $7,000.00 or $8,000. Nice profit.

it's pretty cool the auctioneer began at 50 and in the same breath went 50, 40, 30, 20, 30, 15, 17, 20 or something like that with the first bid at 20K. then increased by 1K increments.

just tried to look up value on hagerty - only 84 to 87 GNs listed for valuation tool

our Buicks are truly an appreciating asset class.

there is another one on ebay now. has some pics during the restoration process...

26k Is good money for this car. Nice car don't get me wrong but not much performance. I know performance is not the only thing that pushes up the price but it doesn't hurt.

Just makes mine worth more. :)

I think if I owned one it would have the 86/87 drive train...

just a cruiser...I always liked those Lear-Seigler seats and rear quarter branding - wish they were carried through for the later years. it was only rated at 125bhp. my '83 Cutlass had the 231 NA with a few less at 110bhp.

just fun summertime crusing cars....
